My research focuses on the orthopaedics with emphasis on the spine and disc degeneration. |
| Relevance to VA: |
Musculoskeletal problems are prevalent in the VA population. Problems relating to the spine are particularly severe. Many of the VA population are obese and they smoke. These exacerbate the natural aging musculosketal diseases seen in the general population. Plus the VA population are aging. |
